Summer Training

NTPC Limited (Nabinagar Super Thermal Power Station)

Nabinagar, Bihar
May 2025 – July 2025
My six-week industrial training at NTPC's Nabinagar plant was a truly transformative experience. I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to immerse myself in the electrical systems of a 660 MW Supercritical Power Unit. This wasn't just about observing; it was about understanding the heartbeat of a massive power operation, from transformers to control systems. I want to extend my deepest respect and gratitude to Shri Ravindra Singh Saluja (AGM, EMD) Sir for his exceptional guidance, which was instrumental in deepening my understanding of large-scale power plant operations.

Cloud Community Days Kolkata 2025

MY EXPERIENCE

My experience at the GDG Cloud Kolkata event was unforgettable. It was a privilege to be surrounded by developers and innovators shaping the future with Google Cloud and Gemini. This event was a fantastic bridge between academic theory and real-world tech, offering invaluable insights into current industry trends.

I'm incredibly grateful to the speakers who shared their knowledge. Key highlights for me included:

  • Tom Reiner's talk on the German job market, which provided a clear overview of opportunities for Indian students.
  • (VJ) Vijaykumar Jangamashetti's session on "Unleashing Gemini," which made Google Cloud's Generative AI tools feel accessible and powerful.
  • Learning about real-time AI monitoring with Weave from Anubhav Singh and Ayush Thakur.
  • Seeing how to apply Gemini and BigQuery for customer insights with Antrixsh Gupta.
  • Building reasoning agents with Gemini and GCP, thanks to a hands-on session by Priti S.
  • Gaining fresh perspectives on AI design from Alipta Ballav.

A huge thank you to the entire GDG Cloud Kolkata team for such an enriching experience. I left feeling inspired and eager to continue learning and engaging with this amazing community.
